I checked their policy and actually it did, because a technical issue is within their approved circumstances. They refused to issue a refund, and told me my situation did not fall within their "approved circumstances". I followed up and tweeted at them to make this issue public. I contacted EaseUs immediately when I realized their software didn't work at all. It was able to recover deleted files entirely intact-some from 2012! Unfortunately, since I "recovered" the file I needed using EaseUs, the open source software didn't pick it up. I regret getting involved with them because the next day, my friend used a free open source software on my computer, and it worked. No other software will help you repair them. It actually makes things worse by making the files completely unusable. I decided to test the software, so I created a new file, deleted it, and then tried to recover it using their software. It could not open at all because it was corrupted. It recovered something with a similar name, but it was completely unusable. I lost an important file and downloaded EaseUs to recover it.
